Member Spotlight - Hop Camera

In 2008, Jon Graham began his career as a freelance graphic and web designer who primarily built websites. He set out to tell a story on each website that he made through the use of text and stock images but soon wanted to take on a new challenge. Jon’s interest in videos taken by drones of beautiful places and scenery paired with his hobby of flying remote controlled helicopters led him to invest in a quadcopter drone.  Using his new drone, he then began making videos that got him business with several hotels and eventually some well-known youtubers, and thus, he founded Hop Camera, a company that specializes in aerial videos using drones that help produce movies and advertise for businesses and real estate. Hop Camera challenges the ways of traditional cinematography with multi-copters and has produced exceptional videos that have garnered the praise of professional producers and cinematographers. Positive feedback from such well-established members of the industry, along with his passion for flying, continues to fuel Jon and his company. Jon’s passion for flying drones has also left him with the desire to spread the activity to other members of his community through the possible introduction of a local drone racing league run out of Tigerlabs.  Becoming a member of Tigerlabs has given Hop Camera the opportunity to be a part of a community of like-minded coworkers. Jon is inspired by his coworkers’ ideas, and he is also able to receive immediate feedback and advice regarding his own ideas concerning Hop Camera. Jon firmly believes that working in coworking spaces like Tigerlabs is the “future of working”.
